It is great for the price and easy to install. The quality is not bad and what I expected for the price. The only complaint I have is the combination lock opens different than a standarad combo lock. It works, but you have to do it the way the manual exactly says.

I am not sure what the writers of the negative reviews were expecting. This is one of the least expensive wall safes on the market. It does not claim to be fire resistant and the size was clearly spelled out in the specifications. The construction is very reasonable. Would it keep someone out that was determined to get in? Probably not. Is the safe well worth the price? Absolutely.

the safe feels solid enough, but it looks as though the instructions included the wrong combination. we had several people try to open it, even a lock-smith. we tried to contact the company multiple times and never heard back. i gave up and put it in the trash today.

It is possible, the safe might be used by someone, who needs the simplest, lowest quality and very small safe. Among the positive sides I can mention that it can be opened to the left or right (the lock is round), it is from a "big" safe company, and it is small (it might be good). A list of negatives is longer. Its quality seems to be lower than of other similar products, mostly due to thinner metal and uneven welding. I had to return my one, because the rotating code lock did not work (plain defective or had wrong code, which is fixed). I do not believe the lock would also work well in the future, its wobbling disk does not produce a feeling of precision. Without an additional way to open, this might leave you with a "treasure in a wall".
Amazon is a great company, return is very convenient. And I have bought a stronger and larger digital wall safe for 2/3 of that price in a local store.

This safe makes very little sense..Not enough room inside (lock innards take up almost half of the middle shelf). It seems to be fairly easy to open with the basic tools like pry bar or screwdriver..So, it's neither theft-proof, nor fire-proof.I'm going to install it in my home only because it doesn't pay to return it and be responsible for shipping charges and possible restocking fee..
I just bought a better one for $125 from Harbor Freight Tools store...
Same money, good brand (Honeywell), heavy, floor-mountable fire and theft proof safe...
